This traditional, elegant home in Ballsbridge was in need of a front garden that matched its beauty and regal character. To enhance the space, we used Taxus baccata (Irish Yew) to line the perimeter of the private front garden, leaving one side open to showcase an old Irish natural stone wall. Playful curves were introduced with granite cobbles to soften the structure of the garden and create a welcoming experience as one transitions through the space, entering through the gate and ascending the granite steps to the front door.
A lower, sunken area leading to a dedicated office space within the home was paved with 600 x 900 x 30mm brown granite slabs, laid in a brickwork pattern to form a quaint and secluded patio area. This area provides a serene setting, ideal for a peaceful break or a quiet moment outside.
To maintain the garden’s clean aesthetic, wooden cladding was used to create a double-wheelie bin storage unit. Similarly, the area housing the gas and electrical meters was also clad in timber, seamlessly blending these components into the overall design of the private front garden.
